Irrevocable is a dark romance by Skye Callahan and it was absolutely freaking amazing! It was so much more than I expected, if you've been following the blog for awhile then you know Pepper Winters is my favorite author and after reading this I believe Skye is going to be a close second! If you are offended by dark subject matter don't read this book, there is violence, non consensual sex acts and women being kidnapped and forced to submit to evil men.
I can't say a whole lot because there is no way to fully review this without the possibility of spoiling things but please if you enjoy dark romance go pick this book up right now!! I am completely obsessed! Sky created an amazing plot line full of surprises and twists that you couldn't possibly predict. It was also hot as hell *fans self*, it was just unbelievably awesome. She delves into the dark world of woman being forced into sexual submission and she does it in a unique way. I've read so many books about sex trafficking and kidnapped women lately that I was getting a little jaded but Sky pulled me out of that funk and restored my faith in dark romance.
Silver is an innocent girl who was in the wrong place at the wrong time and wakes up in hell. She turns out to be one of the most amazing characters I've encountered in awhile, her strength is absolutely mind blowing. The things she goes through would rip most people's minds and souls to shreds but she continues to persevere and survive. However if it weren't for Kirk she never would have been able to hold on, she would probably have been killed or her mind broken beyond repair. Kirk was amazing, although he was twisted and involved in the sex trafficking he was one of the kinder men, he helped keep Silver alive and eventually a relationship developed between the two. He was still her master but he treated her well most of the time and I couldn't help but adore him.
This book was completely engrossing from start to finish, I couldn't stop reading if my life depended on it. I had to know how things would turn out for these two people! This book is one hell of a ride with twists and turns that left me shocked. I can't say enough good things about this book so please just go read it! There is a second book coming out but this can be read as a stand alone. Skye Callahan has gained a huge fan in me and I can't wait to go grab up some more of her other books!
