Blog Tour - - Worth Forgiving by Vi Keeland

Blurb...

They say men like a lady in the living room and a whore in the bedroom. I never knew the sentiment was reciprocal. Until I met Jax Knight. A gentleman in public, a commanding, dirty talking rogue in the bedroom.

Daughter of legendary fighter “The Saint,” Lily St. Claire knows firsthand how fighters can be. As the owner of a chain of MMA gyms, she’s no stranger to aggressive, dominating, and possessive men. That’s why she’s always kept her distance. But the day Jax Knight walks through her door she’s captivated by his charm. Stunningly handsome, well mannered, Ivy League educated, and confident, he shatters all the preconceived notions she’d come to think were true about men who trained to fight.

But falling for someone so soon after her breakup wasn’t something she’d planned on. And definitely not something her ex plans to allow.

Worth Forgiving by Vi Keeland is the third book in a series of stand alone romance novels about MMA fighters. This story has a love triangle centered around Lily, she has a terrible ex named Caden who is possessive, psychotic, violent and manipulative. Unfortunately she can't really just walk away from him since his uncle is her partner in owning a chain of gyms and he helps run them. She is also consumed by guilt because he was there to help her through a very tough time. Guilt can be a very strong emotion that causes people to stay in situations they would ordinarily run from so I understood Lily. Some people may see her as weak but I really liked her. I really understood her motivation in everything that she did, I believe she did the best she could under some seriously sucky circumstances. I mean she had to work with the guy and he was the nephew of the only family she really had left in the world!

Then there is Jax, oh man I could go on about him for days! I am head over heels in love with him, he is pure perfection! I'm a sucker for a dirty talking man and he is the king of talking dirty. The sex scenes in this novel are just...amazing and so freaking hot. He's a sexy as hell MMA fighter and he is also a rich, smart businessman who is a shameless flirt. Could there be a better combination? Oh yes there could be because he has incredibly strong morals, so strong in fact they cause a huge disruption in his family life. I can't say much more without giving away some important plot points but let me just say he is the ultimate gentleman but in the bedroom is his pure caveman and it is so sexy.

In my opinion Jax and Lily are so perfect together, I loved everything about the way they related to each other in and out of the bedroom. I was so glad the author used alternating points of view so we could really know how they both felt! I found the plot to be pretty basic which is the only reason this wasn't a five star read for me, there was a surprising little twist here and there and some good drama but nothing that left me reeling. I could also see the main conflict coming way before it actually came out, it was pretty predictable. I thought each character was very real and well developed which is what kept the story going. The realness of the characters keeps the reader connected. Each character is someone we could all know in our real lives. Ultimately, Jax is what kept me hooked to this read, I couldn't put it down because I was so completely in love with him. I did absolutely love the ending though, it couldn't have been more perfect for the characters. It left me a little teary eyed and wishing there was just a little bit more because I didn't want to let go of these characters I loved so much!

Storyline: good but nothing extraordinary
Female Character: Real
Male Character: Panty melting, heart stealing perfection
Author's Writing Style: engaging
Plot Twists: eh, ok
Laugh Factor: occasional, Reed was pretty funny
Cry Factor: I got a little teary eyed at some points, like the pocket watch part!
Steam Factor: can i get a bucket of ice water?!
Violence: some domestic and it is an MMA book so there is fighting
