Emersyn Vallis' Review...

Holy press your legs together hotness!!!!

There isn’t enough I can say about this book! First let me start out with this, I fell in love with Zach instantly! Yeah… right from that first page when you know what happens. SOLD! Here’s my neck, grab it… let’s do this!

So let’s talk about this story!!! Turn the air conditioners on ladies… you’re going to need them!

Uncivilized is about a young boy who is abandoned in the Amazon after the death of his parents while on a missionary trip. He is raised there by a local tribe and for the next eighteen years of his life is brought up according to their customs and rituals. Until he is forced to come back to society, forced to become a civilized man and forced to deal with the life he had before and the life he has now.

But can he ever really go back?

When everything he knows no longer makes sense… where does he fit in?

I want to talk about Moira because she is an amazing character. She is kind and calm but most of all she is accepting. Being an anthropologist, she is already aware of what she’s about to take on. But she didn’t factor in Zach. From the first time they make eye contact she knows her life will never be the same. And if that was my first introduction to him, mine would forever be changed too!!! HOT DAMN!!! Her reactions to Zach are entertaining and I found myself agreeing with her so many times. She really tries hard not to fall submissive to Zach and I have to give her credit there, because if that were me the book would have been half as long and I would have thrown my morals right out the window.

So who is this man that is oh so panty dropping hot from the first page? Zacharias Easton!!! Not only has this man cleared my roster of book boyfriends but he now holds the number one spot and I doubt any other character will ever take his place. *gasp* Yes, it’s true.

Zach is unintentionally funny and oh so freaking sexy. His views and reactions to the modern world at times caused me to laugh out loud, all I can say is… the internet scene… while other times my heart just broke for him. It seems whenever he finds a home fate snatches it away from it. Zach is sneaky with his words and he finds the loopholes in Moira’s rules. I love that he challenges her and I love that he finds ways around the barriers to get what he wants.

The chemistry and sex between these characters is SCORCHING! While you can’t read it fast enough deep down you know you should slow down so you don’t have a heart attack.

Because this story is told from Moira and Zach’s point of view you get this amazing insight on these two characters that causes you to love them even more! Zach is different. He is new to this world and so he looks at everything with wide eyed wonder. He questions things that most of us never even think to question. And his ideas of life and how to live it made me think about where modern day technology really has lead it. He’s insightful and beautiful. Moira is by comparison sheltered. There are things she doesn’t understand, experiences she has/will never have to face. They’re from two very different worlds and watching them both grow and learn and understand each other was incredible.

I want to brag a little about the author because to pull off a book of this magnitude must have taken a great deal of research. The way she twists everything is flawless and for a small time I wondered she herself had ever been to the Amazon. The way she writes the characters is so in depth that you feel like you are with them. The way she talks about the surroundings make you feel as though your there. Sawyer Bennett won me over with her previous books but this one has made me a fan for life!!!

I could go on and on about this book but, “You’ll just have to experience something’s for yourself.”
